Meditation

The practice of meditation is an essential and core part of delivering courageous inventive and receptive bodywork. What does this mean? As we cultivate our own breath, we develop awareness of our own internal state.  With practice, the breath develops, and it begins to offer an inner metronome of grounding for the practitioner while performing massage.

 

As one cultivates this breath from within while staying connecting to the heart, it expands the therapist’s ability to hold a compassion space that is client focused.  The ability to focus one’s self, and let go of the mind during the massage, allows the experience to be fluid, rhythmic, and non-static. This deeper awareness increases therapist’s receptivity allowing the client’s body’s feedback to co-create the massage moment to moment for the ultimate therapeutic experience.
